Why this role is different
As a Data Consultant at Ignite, you’ll work across the end-to-end data lifecycle – requirements, designing, building, and deploying data solutions that solve real-world problems. Depending on your strengths, you may focus on cloud engineering, machine learning, or business intelligence. Everyone collaborates closely with stakeholders, contributing to high-quality, client-ready outcomes.
You’ll work with leading tools and technologies like:
- Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake
- Python, SQL, DBT, Docker, GitHub, Terraform, Pulumi
- Power BI, Tableau
And you’ll be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team focused on the energy industry, with opportunities to work in agriculture, and logistics. Working with large enterprise clients to exciting scale-ups.
What you'll do
- Translate client needs into technical solutions across BI, AI/ML, and data engineering
- Design and implement cloud-native data platforms and analytics pipelines
- Deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions using modern toolsets
- Apply data visualisation and storytelling to support client decision-making
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders using Agile delivery practices
What you'll bring
- 2+ years experience with modern data platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake)
- Solid skills in SQL, Python, and at least one area (BI, ML, Data engineering)
- Data warehouse and Data modelling experience
- Experience in end-to-end delivery, from requirements to production
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Curiosity and a growth mindset, which means you’re always learning and improving
What will give you an edge
- Energy or Utilities industry experience
- Certifications (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake)
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or Pulumi)
